The weather in Japan during the fall season is beautiful with clear crisp skies and the mountains filled with colorful yellow foliage.
Going out for the day or weekend from your home situated at Homat Gardenia, Monarch or any one of the residences near the Hiroo station. Take the Hibiya Line to KitaSenju change to the Tobu line called the Kegon #33 to Tobu-Nikko Station. In 2 and half hours you are at a scenic place, a World Heritage Site, the ever gorgeous Toshogu Shrine where the first
Ieyasu Tokugawa Shogun is buried and visited by many Japanese and forgein tourist. On the grounds is a large autumn festival called the Shuki Taisai Grand festival, on October 16 and 17th. A procession of 1000 men dressed as Edo- era footsoldiers, archers and cavalry are a colorful site to see.
Prior to the parade on the 16th of October you are welcomed by the Yabusame Japanese horseback archers, followed by the samurai parade on the 17th following the small Mikoshi Shrine ( mini replica of a shrine ). You can only experience this either in the Spring or in the Fall at this moment.
